Linux support
WinGeno runs on Linux with the help of Mono.
This is shown with Ubuntu 9.10 as an example. Ubuntu 9.10 comes with Mono 2.4.2.3 by default.
Additionally, the Winforms need to be installed. In a terminal window, type:
sudo apt-get install mono-winforms*
Next steps are:
- Download WinGeno 1.11 (or higher) zip file and unzip in a WinGeno folder
- Open a terminal window in the WinGeno folder
- Via command line call "mono WinGeno.exe"
Alternatively to the command line usage, it is possible to associate WinGeno with the mono application in the File Browser.
